As we take time to prepare our homes and hearts for the joyous season of Christmas may you take time, moments, to reflect on the very meaning of Christmas. Like so many of the timeless carols remind us, the thrill of HOPE a weary world rejoices, JOY to the world the Lord has come, let earth RECEIVE her King, Hark the harold angels sing, GLORY to the new born King, PEACE on earth and MERCY mild, God and sinners reconciled. What beautiful words that seem to sometimes gloss over our lips amidst the busyness of the Christmas season. My wish for you this Christmas is that you find time to pause and take in all the beauty and joy that Christmas brings. To make your home and heart a place where the true meaning of Christmas shines through above all other distractions.

What will you do with what God has given you, even if it seems as though it is small and insignificant? 

What is not stewarded cannot be multiplied. He is the best at doing a lot with even just a little. We learn from the servants with five and two bags of silver that God honours faithfulness. We learn from the servant with one bag of silver that God turns away laziness. He won’t multiply what we choose to do nothing with. Don’t hide what He has given you in fear. Use what He has given you to the best of your ability with the desire to honor Him and trust Him to do the rest. Be faithful in handling the small, and He will entrust you with greater things.
